Dayvon Daquan Bennett, also professionally known as King Von, was an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Lil Durk signed him to his record label “Only the Family and Empire Distribution.” After rising to fame in a brief duration, Tragically, he was killed in 2020 at the age of 26.

Personal Life
Bennett was born on August 9, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois. He had six half-siblings from his father, Walter E. Bennett, and three siblings from his mother, Taesha.
His mother primarily raised him. He went through an inconsistent and complicated relationship with his father his relationship with his father due to his incarceration. His father was gunned down by an unseen man when Von was only 11 years old. Von later paid homage to him in many of his songs.
He was raised in the crime-ridden O Block neighborhood. By his teen years, Bennett had turned to crime and would spend years in and out of jail before he began rapping in 2018.
After hearing some of his early music, Lil Durk took an interest in King Von and welcomed him into the Only the Family collective. His early single “Problems” gained some attention, but it was the engaging narrative of a robbery-turned-shootout on his song called “Crazy Story” that garnered him a massive audience. A video for the song was released in late 2018, and it was streamed over 20 million times. This garnered him a huge fandom, and he followed it with the single track called “Cousins,” which featured JusBlow600 in March of the following year.
He had a reputation as a serial killer. 2 years after Bennett’s death, In April 2023, a four-hour long documentary titled King Von: Rap’s First Serial Killer was released on Youtube by the filmmaker Trap Lore Ross, in which it was claimed that Bennett had been a serial killer who was involved in at least ten murders, including the murders of P5, Modell, Malcolm Stuckey, and Gakirah “K.I.” Barnes; Bennett had been acquitted for the murder of Stuckey while he was alive and was concluded by Chicago authorities to be responsible for the murder of Barnes in 2021.

King Von Cause of Death
On November 6, 2020, at around 2:15 a.m., Bennett and his crew members were involved in an altercation with Quando Rondo’s members outside the Monaco hookah lounge in Atlanta, Georgia.
The dispute quickly escalated and turned into gunfire. Bennett was shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital nearby. His condition was critical. He died there later that day.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reported that two people, including Von, were killed in the shoot-out, and six were wounded. The person who killed him was Timothy Leeks, who is a 22-year-old rapper and goes by the name Lil Timm. King Von was buried in Chicago, Illinois, in November 2020.
